It took a week to migrate to SmugMug, moving something like 4,700 photos across I don't know how many galleries. They have no free service, and they really force you to upload photos right away. On SmugMug using "Portfolio", I have no idea what they use. The issue was definitely on the Zenfolio side.

On1 stumbled every couple of minutes, after I'd spent many hours figuring out how to use it (videos, user manual from On1, et al). Lr and Ps allow me to do what I need to do when I need to do it. If it misses once in a great while, say once in a hundred times, that's fine as it's probably me. In going through a directory or catalog of images, I found myself hitting the arrow key multiple times to advance to the next photo. That's okay in general, but it's even slower than in the past. Today, they have some ways to use cataloging to make browsing quick. In the past, On1 prided itself on its fast browsing, and virtually instant rendering of images. Again, this is impressive, and extraordinary in this case. It figures out how the image should look. You have an image that is X by Y, and you want it 2X by 2Y? No problem! It doesn't just pixelate the image. It makes me think, "Shame on you, Adobe! You could and should be doing this!" Also, there is a resizing feature that uses high end mathematics to sharpen images. On1 actually has a feature that interprets how the photo should appear, based on the preview, and it is really good! It's impressive, actually. Importing those photos to Lr means I lose the b&w, but I expect that.
Today I shot some b&w photos in RAW on my Canon 5DMkIV. Pluses? On1's AI technologies are amazing. In both times my conclusion is that, "On1 isn't ready for Prime Time." I want to like On1, and wanted to in the past. I'm always open to new things, and while I'd used On1 in the past and didn't find it useful, when I received the recent free offer I decided to give it another trial. I have a photographer package subscription to Adobe, which includes Lightroom and Photoshop. I just switched photo hosting service providers from Zenfolio to SmugMug, the latter of which came with a free offer of On.
